Tally is continuously upgraded to improve its user experience as well as to have the latest features as demanded by the users. We have seen far Tally has come with its consistent upgrades from Tally 7.2 to Tally.ERP 9 and finally to Tally Prime.

The latest version as of 30th August is Tally Prime version 2.0. This version of the software comes with some never seen before feature and make Tally usage even simpler than before.

Personalised reports

Reporting is an essential part of decision making, All decisions are made after considering the current business numbers. Strategies are made based on the various reports like the profit and loss report, balance sheet, Cash flow report, ratio analysis report, Outstanding report, Stock summary report, ageing analysis report and much more. There are more than 300 reports in Tally. 

And the best part is, in Tally Prime 2.0 you can now personalise the reports to get the data in a format best suited for making informed decisions. You can use the same configurations in future by using the ‘Save as’ feature. The ‘Save as’ feature saves the report configuration for future reference ad thus you do not have to configure the reports every time you want to view them.

You can also name the report configuration so that you can directly search the name in the ‘Go to’ search bar. Apart from saving the report, you can also share the reports by downloading them from the browser. 

To share reports, 

• Go to the Tally solutions website, and open the report in the configurations you want to share and click on download. the report will be downloaded and saved on your device you can now share this file using different sharing mediums.
• You can also share reports from within Tally by opening the report and clicking on the ‘Export Menu’. Click on the ‘Configuration’ option and set the location where the downloaded file will be saved. Once this is done, click on send and the file will be saved in the selected location

Accessing your data while on the move

Tally allows you to access your data from anywhere and at any time. You can access your Tally reports on your browser. Log on to the tally solutions website and log in using your registered Email Id. After logging in you will see yourTally reports with your Tally data. 

These reports are made to fit your screen size and thus irrespective of which device you use for browser viewing of reports, you will be able to see the reports without having to zoom in or out. Mobile phones, tablets, Macbooks, you can use any device to view your Tally data. 

Other than these there are many other features introduced in Tally Prime like the ‘Go to’ search bar, Tally remembers your company vault password for few hours and thus you do not need to re-enter it repeatedly, the top menu stays fixed on top of the screen throughout all the screens of Tally, better user experience, optimize your invoice printing to save paper and a lot more useful features.
